An Evening for Nuremberg's Athletes

Some evenings are hard to forget. At the Nacht des Sports (Night of Sports) at the Mercedes-Benz branch in Nuremberg, Nuremberg's Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year 2026 were honored, and we were right in the middle of it with our furniture. The result: a sold-out evening, big emotions and a record €24,000 raised for a good cause.

An Evening Dedicated to Sport

The Nacht des Sports was hosted by Der Goldene Ring e.V., for the fifth time this year, at the Mercedes-Benz branch in Nuremberg on the Wöhrder See. The evening was completely sold out, and around 400 guests celebrated together, red carpet included. The atmosphere was fantastic from the very first minute.

Alongside the stage program, there was plenty to discover: a podcast lounge, a putting green and an Open Food Experience with four food stations. In between, there was time for great conversations with guests and partners of the evening. Even while setting up our furniture, it was clear: this was going to be a special evening.

The Awards: Nastassja Lein and Taliso Engel

The highlight of the evening was the honoring of Nuremberg's Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year 2026. We warmly congratulate Nastassja Lein and Taliso Engel, both of 1. FC Nürnberg! Experiencing their stories and their dedication live on stage was one of the highlights of the evening. You could truly feel how much hard work stands behind these achievements.

Athletic performance, passion and commitment received exactly the attention they deserve that evening.

konektra Right in the Middle

It was especially lovely to see how our own furniture became part of the evening:

• A shelf as a counter: At the raffle, one of our shelves was simply repurposed as a counter.
• A shelf at the bar gave the glasses their place.
• Tall shelves showcased the prizes.

That's exactly what our modular systems are made for: they adapt to the situation, whether at home, in the office or, well, at a gala.

For a Good Cause

We also took part in the raffle and donated a konektra voucher. We're keeping our fingers crossed that a new favorite piece of furniture will soon find its way into someone's home.

In the end, a record €24,000 was raised for Nuremberg's Olympic and Paralympic squad. A great success for a truly good cause, and a wonderful feeling to have been a small part of it.

Thank You!

A big thank you to Der Goldene Ring e.V. and especially to Tilman Roy von Luschan for the invitation and the wonderful organization of this evening. And once again, congratulations to all the honored athletes!
